Here I'm supposed to say some fluffy words like:

But the truth of the matter is this:

When I first saw Cakesicles online I fell in love with the concept and made them my newest special interest. I thought they couldn't be that hard... But boy was I wrong.

My first tries were absolute flops. I was frustrated and almost in tears because I'd been SO excited about making them. But, I refused to give up.

​

I was determined. I kept trying new techniques and my treats progressed from bad, to OK, to better... And the practice to perfection will be continuous.

​

​​It's a selfish endeavor because baking, food prep, and dehydrating goodies brings me so much joy. It is definitely my happy place.​
